Andy joined Baupost in 2019 and focuses on a broad range of event-driven and special situation opportunities.  Prior to joining Baupost, he worked at Highfields Capital for more than a decade, where he was a Partner focusing on public equity investing in industrials, materials and event-driven situations.  Before his time at Highfields, Andy was an Associate at private equity firm Great Hill Partners and an Investment Banking Analyst at Lehman Brothers.  He graduated from Dartmouth College with a B.A. in Economics and History and earned his MBA from Harvard Business School.  Andy is involved with several local nonprofit organizations and serves as a trustee of The Roxbury Latin School and Derby Academy. He is also actively involved with coaching youth sports programs in Hingham, MA.
